I'm a public health and health policy researcher and strategist. For over a decade, I've helped California foundations, public agencies, health plans, and safety-net providers design, pay for, and evaluate programs that improve health for Medi-Cal members and underserved communities.

Most recently, I was a Director at JSI, where I led the firm's California portfolio and team. My work there centered on advancing health equity, bringing behavioral health and primary care together, Medi-Cal changes like CalAIM and Whole Person Care, and working across systems in California.

I do my best work on problems with many moving parts and many people who care about the outcome. I listen closely, gather the evidence, and turn what I learn into clear recommendations that funders and the people doing the work can act on. I can lead a project from the first question through to putting it into practice, or step in with focused support wherever it's needed.

Before JSI, I worked in global health, HIV prevention, and harm reduction with organizations including the Harvard School of Public Health, the Clinton Health Access Initiative, Open Society Foundations, and Doctors Without Borders.

Outside of work, you can find me spending time with my husband and two young kids, running (slowly), and cooking for my family and friends.

Highlights

Delta Center California

I directed the program office for this three-year statewide initiative to bring behavioral health and primary care closer together. I brought eight state associations and consumer groups together around a shared policy agenda, ran a learning lab for five payer-provider teams, and led the assessment of the initiative's progress.

Population Health Management Initiative

As Social Health Lead for this partnership of the California Department of Health Care Services, Kaiser Permanente, the California Primary Care Association, and regional associations, I helped 32 community health centers strengthen their population health work for Medi-Cal members.

Alameda County Whole Person Care

I designed the sustainability plan and return-on-investment analyses for Alameda County's Whole Person Care pilot, part of California's effort to coordinate health, behavioral health, and social services for Medi-Cal members with complex needs.
